Environmental Impact Assessment

iStock_000010708514XSmallEnvironmental Impact Assessment – EIA is used to determine the possible impact that a planned project will have on the environment. Depending on the scope and location of the project EIAs may be triggered at the municipal, provincial and federal levels.

In British Columbia, provincial EIAs are regulated by the BC Environmental Assessment Act (BCEAA). Federally, environmental assessments are regulated by the Canadian Environmental Assessment Act (CEAA). Some municipal governments have developed regional environmental assessment policies and terms of reference.

Sage Environmental can provide project management, environmental assessment, regulatory liaison and reporting services. Our team can help to manage or support an assessment of your upcoming project.
