Site Profile

Site ProfileA Site Profile provides a land description and reviews the historic and current uses on a site or property. A Site Profile may be required if you are applying for any of the following activities; subdivision, re zoning, development or development variance, soil removal, or demolition.

  • Other activities that may trigger a site profile are site decommissioning, taking over a property as a trustee, receiver or liquidator, or selling property that has, or has had, a Schedule 2 activity on it.

The ministry will take up to 30 days to review a site profile to determine whether further site investigation is needed such as a Stage 1 Preliminary Site Investigation ( Phase 1 Environmental Site Assessment )

Groundwater contamination has been an issue of concern recently in the North Okanagan. The communities of Coldstream and Lavington are feeling the effects of a contaminated groundwater supply.
